Jeffrey L. Butts, DO

Jeffrey L Butts

Dr. Jeffrey L. Butts, is a fellow of the American Board of Addiction Medicine and is a diplomat of the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. He earned his undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin in 1984 and his medical degree from Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1989.

In 2011, after practicing family medicine for many years, Dr. Butts opened Celebrity Care Medical Clinic in Boerne, Texas, an outpatient addiction practice that treats individuals recovering from substance use disorders such as opioid use disorder (OUD), stimulant use disorder (SUD), and alcohol use disorder (AUD). Dr. Butts is a Suboxone-licensed physician. Medications prescribed for alcohol use disorder include Vivitrol, Campral, and Antabuse. Co-occurring mood disorders and chronic pain symptoms are also addressed.

Dr. Butts established Addiction Medicine Consultants of Texas (AMCOT), PLLC in 2013. AMCOT represents the collaborative efforts between Dr. Butts and other addiction professionals including psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and counselors. AMCOT provides addiction medicine consultations, medical directorships, aftercare management, and individual outpatient care to the broader recovery community. AMCOT is preparing to meet a new challenge – to expand availability and provide evidence-based addiction treatment in underserved areas of Texas through the use of telemedicine.

Roberto D'Lorm, DNP

Roberto D’Lorm, a doctorate-trained nurse practitioner (DNP), is board-certified in Adult Health, Gerontology and Addictions. Dr. D’Lorm has been caring for patients with substance use disorders since 2000. He did specialty training and became certified in Addictions in 2014, and has worked cooperatively with Dr. Butts as a founding member of Addiction Medicine Consultants of Texas since 2013. 

Lauren Hughes, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Lauren Hughes

Lauren Hughes is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and received her graduate education at the University of Texas at Arlington. She is co-founder of Cedar Creek Wellness Group (CCWG), a group of mental health professionals with a psychiatric integrative model dedicated to promoting mental wellness in the Cedar Creek and Henderson County area. She sees a wide variety of clients aged 13+ with a focus on psychiatric disorders including PTSD, other trauma related disorders, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, addiction, delusional disorders, obsessive compulsive disorders and attention deficit disorders. She believes that while medication management can certainly be important in maintaining mental wellness and stability, listening to and understanding the client’s story can also undoubtedly benefit one’s overall well being.

Prior to starting CCWG, for over three years she worked as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at one of the largest residential treatment centers in North Texas. Through AMCOT, Lauren provides services face to face or through tele-psych services throughout North Texas. She also has one year of outpatient experience working at Prism Health of North Texas serving clients who are high risk or who have been impacted by HIV. She has completed training to hold a waiver to prescribe Suboxone, and has extensive experience in MAT including Suboxone and Vivitrol. Over the years and through these experiences, she has developed a passion for trauma focused care and addiction. Lauren is also a member of Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurses of North Texas (PAPN-NTX).

Justin Mehan, PMHNP

Justin Mehan

Justin received his graduate degree from the University of Texas at Arlington and is a board certified Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. He has been working with patients experiencing psychiatric and substance abuse problems for over 10 years. He’s worked with patients in a variety of settings including,   inpatient, outpatient and corrections. Justin received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Tyler and his Associate’s degree from Kilgore College. 

Felecia Washington, DNP, APRN, AGCNS-BC

Felecia Washington, DNP, EdD, MBA, MSN, APRN, AGCNS-BC, has a diverse clinical background ranging from emergency care to correctional health care. Dr. Washington is an advanced practice registered nurse with a Doctor of Nurse Practice degree. She is board-certified as an Adult and Gerontological Clinical Nurse Specialist by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She also possesses a Post-Graduate Certificate in Addictions. Dr. Washington is a Certified Domestic Violence Specialist, Certified Crisis Intervention Specialist, Certified Anger Management Specialist, Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP), and a qualified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP). Dr. Washington has an extensive list of accomplishments creating lasting impressions in the county, state, and federal circles. She is the Lead Nurse Planner for Texas Health Care Association (THCA).

Over the years, Dr. Washington has published in peer-reviewed journals and has presented at regional, national, and international conferences. She is currently a member of the International Nurses Society on Addictions (IntNSA), the Gerontological Advanced Practice Nurses Association (GAPNA), the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists (NACNS), and the American Academy of Pain Medicine (AAPM). She is an alumnus of the Mississippi University for Women (“W”), Hampton University (HU), Liberty University (LU), and the University of South Alabama (USA). Dr. Washington first became interested in the field of Addiction during her tenure as a Health Service Administrator of a correctional facility. She desires to assist those who feel stigmatized by the shame of addiction discover their voice, value, and evidence-based treatment to support recovery and mental wellness. Dr.Washington is the mother of two amazing adults and resides in San Antonio with her husband (high-school sweetheart). She spends her downtime reading books and experimenting in the kitchen with plant-based recipes.
